Mayo rescue shelters benefit from fundraising
The results are in; Irish dog lovers have raised a whopping €100,000 in cash and food donations for animal rescue centres across the country as part of the fifth annual Pedigree Adoption Drive, with €4,750 of this year’s grant being awarded to Ainmhithe Animal Rescue, Ballina; Mayo SPCA, Ballyhaunis; and North West SPCA, Ballina.

For every pack of Pedigree dog food bought, during the Pedigree Adoption Drive, a donation from Pedigree will be given to help Irish dogs. In Ireland, averages of 44 dogs are abandoned every single day.

The third annual Pedigree Adoption Drive has raised €4,000 for A Dogs Life in Co Kilkenny. Pedigree announced the success of the 2010 campaign in raising much needed funds for the care of homeless dogs in Ireland.
