Harte tops Senior Open Week
Number three seed, Andrew Harte, was the impressive winner of this year’s Senior Open Week singles which was sponsored by TigerTurf Tennis Court Construction. Only Eoghan O’Connor was able to take a set from Andrew as he went on to defeat Brian Murphy, Tommy Rochford (seed 2) and Simon Clarke (seed 1) to take the men’s title.
New stars shine in Frostbite finals
The Frostbite doubles finals took place last Friday night with players who had moved up a grade proving that they were well able for higher standards. Pat Brett and Rory McGovern almost caused a shock in section A when they took Trevor Darlington and Robert Cummins to three sets, the final score 6-1, 5-7 and 6-3.

The Young Motors Frostbite doubles league continues on its meandering course, with the semi-finals set for March 4.
