By kind permission of the Drama League of Ireland, Parke Drama Group is delighted to perform The Year of The Hiker in Parke Community Hall on Friday, January 17 and Saturday, January 18 at 8pm each evening.

Parke Keelogues Crimlin GAA in conjunction with Mayo AC, Mayo Mental Health Association, and the National Museum of Country Life hosted the fifth Annual Turlough 8k on Sunday last. Spring sunshine, snowdrops, a few early daffodils, and a bracing wind greeted the 270 plus participants who turned out to participate in the event.

Following on from their performance of two plays on one night when last weekend in Parke Community Hall, the drama group are hitting the road to Westport tomorrow night when they will take to the stage in the newly opened Town Hall theatre in the town.

Parke Drama Group has been awarded the Mayo County Council Amateur Drama Award for 2011, following assessment by external independent expertise.

Parke Arts and Drama will host a workshop for adults in the Community Centre, Parke, Castlebar, on November 19 from 10am until 4pm.
