O'Loughlin Gaels remain on course for automatic qualification to the knockout stages of the 2011 championship with a good win over Tullaroan at the weekend. Again the O'Loughlin’s talisman was Mark Bergin who scored an impressive 12 points. There were some very good performance all around the field for O'Loughlin’s including those from Niall Bergin and Martin Comerford.

The O'Loughlin Gaels under 14 team retained their Kilkenny Feile na nGael championship title last weekend in Thomastown. O'Loughlin’s played four matches on the way to the final, beating John Lockes of Callan, Thomastown, Clara and Freshford en route. In the final they met city rivals James Stephens.

Two under 8 and two under 9 teams from O'Loughlin Gaels travelled to the annual Roanmore Hurling Tournament, in Waterford City, last Saturday. Each team played three matches of ground hurling. This type of game made for excellent battles in all matches and was really exciting for the large attendance.
