O'Loughlin Gaels are crowned Feile na nGael champions

The O'Loughlin Gaels under 14 team retained their Kilkenny Feile na nGael championship title last weekend in Thomastown. O'Loughlin’s played four matches on the way to the final, beating John Lockes of Callan, Thomastown, Clara and Freshford en route. In the final they met city rivals James Stephens.

Next stop for these boys and their mentors Niall Bergin (Manager ), Maurice Nolan, Mark Bergin and Sean Cleere is a date at the All-Ireland Feile na nGael championships which takes place in Loughrea, Co Galway in June.

O'Loughlin Gaels also represented Kilkenny last year in the All-Ireland Feile and were beaten in the quarter final. Most of this year’s squad were part of last year’s set up so they will know what to expect. One thing is for sure these boys will always try their best and always give 100 per cent.
