Racing takes place at Roscommon on Tuesday August 5 with a National Hunt Card. The first race is at 5.35pm.

The Galway Races will take place over the Bank Holiday Weekend on Sunday, October 27 and on Monday, October 28 with the first race on Sunday at 1.25p.m and Monday 1.35p.m.

The autumn meeting of the Galway Races begins on Monday for three days, consisting of 21 races, both flat and national hunt races. One of the highlights of the racing festival will be the Ardilaun Hotel Listed Oyster Stakes, which takes place on the first day of the races which is now in its 21st year.

It may seem that four seasons as we know them have decided to rotate on a daily rather than three monthly basis, but the Galway Racing Festival, no matter what the overhead conditions are, is always guaranteed to deliver a week long episode of that west of Ireland feel good factor that is synonymous with the City Of The Tribes.

Galway Racecourse will hosts its annual October meeting this weekend with a 14-race card over two days and a prize fund of more than €200,000.

Just a month after the immensely successful summer festival, racing returns to Ballybrit this weekend. The autumn meeting kicks off on Saturday with the first race going to post at 2.55pm. The action will commence at Sunday at 2.25pm, with Monday’s evening meeting getting under way at 4.20pm.

With spirits still high from the wonderful meeting that was the 90th anniversary of racing at Ballinrobe two weeks ago, the action returns on Sunday next, August 21, with the first race at 2.20pm.

Fresh from the hugely successful Ladies’ Day meeting, the mid-summer racing festival takes centre stage at Ballinrobe Racecourse this Monday and Tuesday, July 18 and 19. Racing starts both days at 5.50pm.
