Inland Fisheries Ireland (IFI) has recently received reports that small numbers of individual fresh-run wild salmon have been encountered in the River Deel, in the Moy Catchment in Mayo, displaying signs of red skin disease (RSD).
Moves afoot to set up River Moy Trust
The campaign to establish a River Moy Trust is to gain momentum with the hosting of an information evening in Ballina’s Mount Falcon Hotel on Sunday, November 29, from 7pm to 9pm. The initiative is being co-ordinated by the River Moy Catchment Association, a voluntary group that represents stakeholders committed to improving the ecology, fisheries, and wildlife of all waterways in the Moy catchment.
