The campaign to establish a River Moy Trust is to gain momentum with the hosting of an information evening in Ballina’s Mount Falcon Hotel on Sunday, November 29, from 7pm to 9pm. The initiative is being co-ordinated by the River Moy Catchment Association, a voluntary group that represents stakeholders committed to improving the ecology, fisheries, and wildlife of all waterways in the Moy catchment.
The information evening will bring like minded bodies and individuals under one roof to meet and learn more about the role of a river trust. Details will also be sought on the evening of anyone interested in becoming a member of the board of the planned River Moy Trust. A cross section of individuals from the hotel and tourism activities sector will be required. Guest speakers include Cllr Annie May Reape and Ray Spain from LAWCO.
