The Pálás Cinema is re-opening on Monday July 27. It will be fully compliant with Government guidelines on Covid-19; there will be screenings of classic films; and the restaurant will have a new menu.

In 1933, plans had been completed and passed by the Galway Urban District Council for a new cinema to be built on Eglinton Street by the famous baritone, Mr Walter McNally. “The building will be beautiful and imposing, designed on the most up-to-date lines. The theatre will have seating for over 800 on the ground floor while the balcony will be capable of holding over 300.”

Producer Tim Palmer (Into the West, Patrick's Day) gives us a first look at Artwork for the much anticipated 'The Limit Of' ahead of its cinema release on April 5th. NUIG graduate turned ex-banker is the writer-director behind new gripping psychological thriller, which features Cork-born singer Mick Flannery as the exclusive artist on the film's soundtrack. It stars the fast-rising Laurence O'Fuarain (Vikings, Black 47) and the stunning IFTA nominated actress Sarah Carroll.
