Golf classic raises €8,000 for Fr PJ’s mission
Over € 8,000 has been raised in the Athlone area through a golf classic and raffle at Mount Temple Golf Club to help local priest Fr PJ Hughes in his missionary work in Equador. Over 30 teams played and the raffle was supported by people throughout the Midlands.
Moate Christmas Fair Day a huge success
The Moate Partnership Group’s Christmas Fair and gift day in the Moate Community Centre on Sunday last was a massive success with over forty stands and hundreds of visitors passed through the fair, and the response from all the stands was that it had being a great success.
