Moate Christmas Fair Day a huge success

The Moate Partnership Group’s Christmas Fair and gift day in the Moate Community Centre on Sunday last was a massive success with over forty stands and hundreds of visitors passed through the fair, and the response from all the stands was that it had being a great success.

This is the first fair day to be run, and the partnership group is lead by chairman Paddy Casey. There was also a Moate Partnership free draw and the prize winners were as follows: Josephine Kerrigan was the winner of the first prize which was a fantastic fruit hamper sponsored by Moate Country Market. The second prize of a hamper sponsored by Ann Maria Downes, Mount Temple went to Anita Lynch. Third prize was won by Kathy Ashe while fourth prize went to Bridie Campbell, which was a round of golf in Mount Temple Golf Club sponsored by Michael Dolan.

The committee would like to thank everyone for all their support as it was a great day for all involved.

The fair is planned to go ahead again next year. Anyone who would like to get involved can contact the chairman Paddy Casey on (087 ) 2576286.

The committee would like to run more events like this in the future, so more help would be appreciated.
