The Connacht Hospitality Group is celebrating national recognition after securing an outstanding 10 nominations across a wide range of categories in this year’s Bar of the Year Awards, Ireland’s most prestigious celebration of excellence in the drinks and hospitality industry.

The Connacht Hospitality Group has been nominated for an incredible 23 awards at the prestigious Irish Bar and Cocktail Awards 2025, recognising excellence across its five standout venues: The Connacht Hotel, HYDE Bar, M Fitzgerald’s Bar, An Púcán, and Galway Bay Golf Resort.

The Connacht Hospitality Group continues in its efforts to make a meaningful impact in the Galway community, with an incredible €147,000 going to local charities and not for profit organisations in 2024. This latest milestone brings the Group’s cumulative fundraising and contributions total to €360,000 since 2022.

The team at M Fitzgerald’s Bar believe in giving back to the community, and are incredibly proud to share that they have raised an outstanding €7,300 for COPE Galway to support their vital work in tackling homelessness.

On Friday, December 6, COPE Galway Business Leaders’ Sleep Out participants spent 12 hours on the streets of Galway City. The aim was to draw attention to the issue of homelessness in Galway, to generate an understanding of what it is to sleep out on the streets in winter and to raise essential funds to make sure the charity can continue to respond to these challenges and offer vital supports for people who find themselves affected by homelessness.

M Fitzgerald’s Bar has confirmed their Christmas sandwich has made it's return this December. From Monday, December 2 the Christmas sandwich will be available for purchase. The sandwich contains toasted sourdough, succulent roast turkey, honey roast ham, savory onion stuffing, sweet cranberry sauce and melted brie and is paired with a side of onion gravy and a portion of chips.
