The Blackbird Gallery, despite the recession, continues to go from strength to strength on Kieran Street in Kilkenny.

There was a buzz of activity on William Street as people gathered to join the newly established Blackbird Art Lab, part of the now well-established Blackbird Art Gallery formally in Kieran Street.

The Blackbird Art Lab is starting a mother and baby class on Wednesday mornings. The classes will be held in the gallery and there will be a child carer there to look after the little ones while the creative mothers take their class. Art is a real stress buster and a great way for everyone to disconnect and relax.

Painting, drawing, print and digital photography are just some of the many classes available at the Blackbird Art Lab this season.
