A vibrant line-up of artists will perform at Monroe’s Live over the Galway International Arts Festival until Sunday, July 28.

Songwriter Oisín Leech, one half of folk duo The Lost Brothers, will perform at Monroe’s Live on Saturday, July 20, at 7.30pm, as part of the Galway International Arts Festival.

Laura Quirke (guitar, vocals) and Claire Kinsella (cello, vocals) - Lemoncello - who will play in Bridge St, Castlebar on Friday May 31, started performing together while studying music and languages in Maynooth University, Ireland. Harmonious vocal melodies simply accompanied by cello and guitar lend a sincere and honest rootsy sound, borrowing from a wide range of influences, traditional and alternative. The result is music described by Remy’s Music Blog as “soothing for the soul”.
