Tomorrow evening, Friday, November 1, sees the launch of the 17th TULCA Festival of Visual Arts at the Festival Gallery in William Street, formerly An Post’s sorting office.

Oh it is a tough time of the year. The sun has gone on its annual vacation to another part of the planet. Temperatures are dropping fast, the rain is beating down, and the wind is howling, and it just feels like there is doom and gloom with nothing to do around Galway.

THE FORMER An Post sorting facility off William Street, recently refurbished into an exhibition space for the Galway International Arts Festival, will be the main gallery for the TULCA Festival of Visual Arts in November.

TULCA FESTIVAL of Visual Arts is accepting applications for its 2019 Volunteer Programme. The festival, curated by Kerry Guinan, runs from November 1 to 17 in numerous venues across Galway city and county.

KERRY GUINAN, the artist, researcher, and curator based between Limerick and Dublin, has been appointed curator of the 17th TULCA Festival of Visual Arts, which runs in Galway during November.
