The winner of thetote.com Galway Plate, Shanahan’s Turn, as he crosses the finish line at Ballybrit last evening. He returned at odds of 16/1. In second place, was the Willie Mullins trained The Paparrazi Kid which returned at 12/1. The winner was ridden by Cork jockey Johnny Burke and trained in County Waterford by Henry de Bromhead, who also trained third placed Sadler’s Risk. Shanahan’s Turn carried the familiar colours of well known owners Alan and Ann Potts.
