A Westmeath couple have admitted assaulting a man but deny it was part of an ongoing feud between the Joyce and Myers families.

Members of two families have been ordered not to engage in feuding after they appeared before Mullingar District Court yesterday (Thursday).

“I would suggest the wounds have healed and a suspended sentence might serve into the future,” offered solicitor Mr John Quinn representing two of three men involved in an incident which saw €500 damage to windows of a house owned by Mrs Margaret Nevin.
