Small food businesses in Ireland are continuing to demonstrate strong growth both on the domestic and export markets, according to new figures released by Bord Bia this week. Bord Bia works with over 400 small food businesses with an annual turnover of some €400 million, representing an increase in value of seven per cent per year since 2007.

Bord Bia’s next Brand Forum event will take place in the Mullingar Park Hotel, Mullingar, on Tuesday September 15. The Brand Forum, a group made up of over 100 Irish food, drink, and horticulture companies, meet six times a year – on a quarterly basis in Dublin and bi-annually regionally. The member food and drink companies range in size and profile from small enterprises to multinationals. It has proven to be a highly successful learning and networking opportunity for companies addressing issues specific to brand marketing in the food and drink arena.
