The Achill  Heinrich Böll Association presents a reading from In My Own Light by composer Raymond Deane, followed by a concert featuring two of his important compositions on Saturday, August 12 at 8pm in St Thomas’s Church, Dugort, Achill Island. Celtic Flames present their spectacular show of music, song and dance in The Town Hall, Westport on Saturday, August 12 at 8pm. Celtic Flames is an exciting 24 piece mixed music group, based in Galway and ranging in ages from six to 60, who play and perform a quality eclectic mix of traditional Irish music, song and dance fused with a more contemporary idiom. Formed originally as a ten piece group in 2011, it has grown to include the top young talent to emerge from the west of Ireland in recent years and their mission is to entertain.
