Rangers win their third title bridging a 12 year gap
Mount Leinster Rangers minor hurlers bridged a twelve-year gap when they won the JV Kitchens Minor Hurling Championship, defeating the holders Naomh Eoin-Miseal at Dr Cullen Park on Sunday. The game was played in a heavy downpour of rain at the start and a gale-force wind that blew in over the Lennon stand and across the field. In fact the wind was so bad, that each side had a number of bad wides from play and to be fair the players did everything right as the ball left their hurleys it looked destined to go over the crossbar. Naomh Eoin-Miseal made all the early running and struck five wides in the opening eight minutes. Rangers had four in the first fourteen minutes.
Nineteenth Carlow GAA awards
More than 400 guests are expected to attend the 19th Carlow GAA awards presentation which will be held on Saturday December 6 at the Dolmen Hotel at 7.30pm. Sixteen individuals will be honoured for their outstanding contribution to Cumann Luthchleas Gael. There are six special awards up in recognition for outstanding work taking place in schools, organisations and clubs.
