NUI Galway is issuing a final call for applications to its Elite Athlete Sports Scholarships Scheme for 2015/16.

Thirty-two students have been awarded sports scholarships at NUI Galway this week, bringing the total number of students receiving sports scholarships at the university to 60.

The annual Darren Wallace/Padraic Sheriff Memorial Cups will take place on Monday August 3 this year. Now in it’s 14th year, the memorial cups have proved a fitting tribute to two of Assumption Road’s most fondly remembered natives.
