Chef JP McMahon has partnered with The Dough Bros, with a limited-edition JP McMahon x The Dough Bros Bolognese Pizza, which runs exclusively in The Dough Bros, Galway for the month of February. This exciting collaboration takes a classic Italian meat sauce, Bolognese, teams it with Irish artisan and foraged ingredients and reimagines it as a glorious pizza, the JP McMahon x The Dough Bros Bolognese Pizza. This specially crafted pizza features Bolognese sauce with slow-cooked fennel sausage, smoked Gubbeen cheese béchamel sauce from West Cork, foraged and pickled wild ramsons, cold-pressed Irish rapeseed oil, and sprinkled with Achill Island sea salt.JP McMahon first experienced a Bolognese dish in the 1980s at Chez Hans in Tipperary—an influential moment he credits in his book, An Irish Food Story, as the beginning of his culinary journey. Jp, says, “Bolognese sauce has a special place in my heart. From the very first time I had it when I was young, it retains a magical aspect in my culinary imagination. It's great to collaborate with the Dough Bros. They're one of the best pizza makers in Ireland, and they showcase wonderful Irish and Italian products. A new and exciting sports facility, XVArena, has officially opened its doors in Ballybane, Galway City, offering state-of-the-art indoor soccer facilities to local players of all ages. The facility hosted an Open Weekend recently which saw over 100 children enjoy free professional training sessions, and was attended by some of Galway’s top footballing talents, including senior players from Galway United, Galway City Deputy Mayor, Níall McNelis and local footballing legends.

The students who were looking at more sustainable business practices hand wrote to some of their favourite places to eat in Galway, The Dough Bros were the only business to respond and to now take action. The aim was to get businesses to start using biodegradable cutlery, napkins, pizza boxes and brown bags.
