This was a hard fought battle with Clara first half scores coming from Alyson Creane who goaled after a solo run from midfield, Deirdre Carrigan scored Clara’s second goal following a pass from Catherine Murphy and Ciara Byrne pointed following a pass from Claire Nolan. Thomastown scored 1-1 in the first half. In the second half Thomastown scored two points to leave just a point between the teams and despite their best efforts the Clara backs denied them the score to level the match and Ciara Byrne added a point for Clara to leave the final score Clara 2-2, Thomastown 1-3.
