Greenfields Hockey Club easily accounted for Yeats County by 5-0 to win the Connacht Senior League and the Comer Cup for the third year in a row. The Galway champions will now represent the province in the Irish Hockey League wildcard play-offs in Dublin in May when they will compete against opposition from Leinster, Munster, and Ulster.

Following on from the success of senior open week, the junior open week that took place last week was no less of a spectacle. With almost 100 junior players taking place the competition welcomed players from clubs such as Tramore, St Anne’s Waterford, Clonmel, Carrick on Siur, Donnybrook, Carlow, and there was even some French representation to join our own club members in a busy week of match play.
