•Salthill Devon are preparing for the new season, and as part of their build up the club will play their first pre-season friendly on Satyurday (3pm) with the EA Sports Cup and FAI Ford Cup 2010 champions Sligo Rovers Football Club. The match will be played at Drom and the FAI Senior Cup will be on display. Entry to the match is free.

Pagodas Temple martial arts centre was started by Chris Hickey, fourth degree dan black belt, the highest graded judo black belt in the west of Ireland. Hickey always wanted to have his own dojo (training centre) where he could pass his skill and knowledge on to others with a passion for the martial arts. This is due largely to the training and mentoring he received travelling around the world, representing Ireland at the highest judo level.

Mr Hickey always wanted to have his own dojo where he could pass his skill and knowledge on to others with a passion for the martial arts. This is due largely to the training he received in the Galway Judo Club, the support of his many friends, and his long time mentor Sensei John Creaven.
