A taste of Italy at Don Carlito’s
Don Carlito's is Castlebar's newest Italian restaurant located on Chapel Street, Castlebar, just before the church. The restaurant has a lovely rustic feeling to it with friendly and knowledgeable staff. It also has a well thought out menu from starters all the way to desserts. All the dishes are cooked fresh to order, using locally sourced fresh ingredients. It offers traditional Italian dishes from carbonara to oss buco and also some of the Italian chef’s own creations.

Learn to relax and enjoy life
Mindfulness is a practice that can teach us how to enjoy life to the full and how to relax even when there is a lot of pressure in our life. It teaches us how to make the most of every day and find contentment even in the routine of each day. This eight week course runs on Tuesday evenings starting on February 10. You can choose to attend a course from either 6pm to 8pm or from 8.30pm to 10.30pm. The course is being held in the Family Centre, Chapel Street, Castlebar, and is led by Derval Dunford and Ann Caulfield. Suicide Bereavement Support Group
A support group for adults affected by the death of a loved one through suicide has commenced in the Family Centre, Chapel Street, Castlebar. The course will run over six weeks on Tuesday evenings at 8pm. It will be facilitated by two Family Centre counsellors who will provide a safe confidential space for those attending. Contact must be made with the Family Centre before the programme starts on (094) 9025900.
The Hair Boutique opens for business this Saturday
The official opening of The Hair Boutique, Chapel Street, Castlebar (formerly Y2 Kutz), will take place tomorrow, Saturday August 16, at 4pm. Proprietor Sarah O’Dowd and her team would like to invite everyone to their official opening. Sarah has eight years’ experience in the hairdressing industry and has worked in salons in both Castlebar and Claremorris, before striking out on her own.
