GMIT film student to have short film screened at Cannes
A short film by a young Galway-based filmmaker, Luke Morgan, has been selected to screen at the Cannes Film Festival’s Short Film Corner. Morgan is a third year student on the BA (hons) in film and documentary at GMIT’s Centre for Creative Arts & Media (CCAM).

GMIT to hold two open days on CAO options for secondary school students and parents
A large number of secondary school students from Mayo and around the rest of the country will visit GMIT’s Galway city campuses next week for two Open Days, on Friday, October 18 (9.30am to 3pm) and Saturday, October 19 (10am to 1pm). A full programme of activities and events will take place in the two city campuses, at the Dublin Road campus and the nearby Centre for Creative Arts & Media (formerly called Cluain Mhuire). Events include talks on the range of degree programmes on campus (and live online on www.gmit.ie on 18 October), workshops, demonstrations, exhibitions of student work, a video showcase of graduates’ career paths, campus tours and a range of fun interactive learning activities.
