The organisers of Bealtaine are delighted to announce the line-up for May 2013, which will see a fantastic variety of theatrical, cinematic, craft, photographic, choral, dance and other events taking place across Westmeath. Running from May 1-31 and co-ordinated by Age & Opportunity, the festival collaborates with local, regional, and national organisations to produce inspiring and innovative opportunities for older people to engage and participate in a whole range of arts events and experiences.

Seachtain na Gaeilge i gContae na hIar Mhí

Seachtain na Gaeilge, which runs from March 5 to 17, is a celebration of Irish language, culture, and heritage. It offers the chance for people to practice their cúpla focail, to celebrate ‘leabhar power’ by reading books as Gaeilge, or even to try a language course. Westmeath Libraries are proud to support Seachtain na Gaeilge with a wide range of events.
