Ireland’s longest running arts festival, the Clifden Community Arts Festival, begins today, and this year’s programme boasts a line up that includes Mary Coughlan, Mairtín O’Connor, Sharon Shannon, and novelist Dermot Bolger.

Renowned Irish musician, composer, producer and arranger Bill Whelan officially launched the programme of events for the 36th Clifden Community Arts Festival on Monday August 19 at the Clifden Station House Theatre.

The Callino Quartet will be joined by UK clarinettist Sarah Beaty in a tour to Westport on Thursday March 22 in Holy Trinity Church starting at 8pm.

THE ACCLAIMED Callino Quartet, along with British clarinettist Sarah Beaty, will perform work by Haydn and others, in the Church of Ireland Clifden on Wednesday March 21 at 8pm.

LONDON’S CALLINO Quartet will perform Schubert’s masterpiece, the Octet in F major D803, at St Mary’s Church of Ireland Cathedral in Tuam as part of this year’s Galway Arts Festival.
