Art lovers do not have long to wait for one of the most anticipated exhibitions in the Irish visual arts calendar, as the Claremorris Open Exhibition (COE) is set to open its doors again on Saturday, September 14. The Claremorris Arts Committee have announced that Ingrid Swenson, Director of the PEER Gallery in London will be conducting the official opening at the COE Gallery, Mount Street on Saturday, September 14 at 8.30pm. Highly regarded for imaginative and ambitious art projects by local, national and international artists, the PEER Gallery has supported and exhibited the work of many Irish artists over the years.

Castlebar grow it yourself meeting

A total of 41 artists have been selected to exhibit at his prestigious event by curator Lisa Le Feuvre. The exhibition runs from September 4 to 25 and carries prize funds of €8,000 and €3,000 which are reserved for emerging artist(s).

Claremorris artist Marie Kenna will hold a fundraising art exhibition in the COE gallery in Claremorris, on the weekend of Friday July 9 at 7.30pm, to raise much needed funds for two local charities, The Western Alzheimer’s and Friends of Ollie.
