An art exhibition by the national arts and health charity Helium Arts is opening on November 13 that will spotlight issues with accessing cultural and public spaces in Galway for young people with lifelong health conditions.

Blue Teapot Theatre Company this week launched its strategic arts plan 2023–2027, entitled Owning The Space, which sets out the company’s vision for the next five years. The plan was launched at a party in the company’s theatre premises on Tuesday.

Former professional rugby player and adventurer Damian Browne will deliver the keynote presentation at the 2019 BIG Leaders Summit in Galway on September 10.

The transfer window was open for Galway 2020 this week as in the space of six days, the project has filled the key roles of chairman and creative director. Last evening, it was announced that experienced film producer Arthur Lappin will step into the role of chairing the board of directors; while late last week, it was revealed that the Creative Director role will be delivered by UK-based Artichoke under the leadership of Helen Marriage.
