People can view the creations of an award winning County Galway milliner, who has worked with internationally acclaimed Philip Treacy, at his pop-up shop at Brown Thomas.

Ceann 2011, is an exhibition being held in the historic setting of Shankill Castle in Paulstown, Co Kilkenny as part of the Kilkenny Arts Festival. The exhibition will take place in the castle and stable yard with a wide range of art on display; including painting, etching, sculpture, writing and documentaries about Irish architecture.

The traditional New Year’s honours handed out by the Queen in Great Britain was given a Mayo twist this year with the inclusion of Castlebar man Michael Feeney on the list. The man who has worked hard behind the scenes for numerous years on the Mayo Peace Park will be awarded an MBE by Queen Elizabeth in Buckingham Palace later this year.
