Mayo North Tourism this week launched its 2022 membership drive, with businesses of all types from Ballina and the surrounding areas encouraged to contribute towards a marketing and promotion fund for North Mayo, as the local tourism industry looks towards recovery post-Covid in 2022. Membership, which goes towards marketing and promotion of the North Mayo and West Sligo area, is open to all types of businesses.

There was great news for the North Mayo tourism industry this week after InflightFlix International announced that the area is to feature in the next update of its Wild Atlantic Way video guide on all Aer Lingus transatlantic flights. A select number of Ballina and North Mayo visitor experiences will be visible at 30,000 feet on flights all the way from North America.

A new rhythm coming to Ballina next year
North Mayo production company Atlantic Rhythm Productions is preparing to launch a new summer show that is set to take Mayo by storm. Tradbeats, a fully choreographed contemporary show featuring seven talented musicians and 14 champion Irish dancers, will take place in Ballina Arts Centre on Wednesday, July 18, and Wednesday, August 8, 2018, and is expected to attract significant interest from visitors and locals alike at the height of the tourist season. Tradbeats will showcase the very best of north Mayo’s traditional Irish music talent, and the show is composed and choreographed in its entirety by its young and vibrant cast of performers.
