Music for Galway (MfG) has announced details of its 42nd international concert season 2023/24 which features an array of artists from near and far. At the launch of the season, high up in the new Bonham Quay office complex in Galway’s Docks, Artistic Director Finghin Collins singled out the November 18 appearance of iconic British sibling duo Sheku and Isata Kanneh-Mason as a “major highlight of the season.

World renowned violinist plays for 400 children in Tuam

400 primary school children from Galway county attended a series of concerts in The Mall Theatre in Tuam this week on Wednesday September 28th as part of Music for Galway’s musical outreach programme. Children from Clydagh, Ballinlass, Bawnmore, Tuam, Athenry, Sylane and Glinsk got to ‘Meet the Violins’ where world renowned violinist, Sergey Malov introduced them to instruments from the violin family through contemporary and traditional music.
