Good Food Ireland has announced the finalists for the national awards, with seven businesses from Galway making the 2024 shortlist. The winners will be announced on November 11.

Food On The Edge will return to Galway this year on October 21 and 22, after three years of events at Airfield Estate in Dublin. The theme of this year's symposium is A Sense of Place.

BBC Good Food Magazine has named Galway as its top destination for foodies in 2020. The city made it to the top of the annual list as it prepares to embark on a year-long European Capital of Culture 2020 programme, with food culture playing a major part of the planned events.

Michelin-star Galway restaurant Aniar was honoured this week with its inclusion on the new 50 Best Discovery website. The platform was launched this month by the people behind the prestigious World’s 50 Best Restaurants list.

Michelin starred Aniar has been named the Best Restaurant in Connacht at the Food and Wine Awards, announced at the weekend.
