That ‘80s Show, the musical, is the story of the graduating class of William Ocean High School as they live through their senior year and experience the fun, the heartbreak, the loves and loneliness of growing up... all set to the biggest hits of the ‘80 s, including “Wake Me Up Before You Go Go”, “Kids In America”, “Girls Just Want To Have Fun”, “Footloose”, “Video Killed The Radio Star”, “You Give Love A Bad Name”, “Man In The Mirror”, “Love Shack”, “Dancing On The Ceiling” and many more, this show promises not to disappoint.

Danceworld is the west coast’s largest and most successful academy of dance and performance. Hosting more than 250 dancers with classes in Ballina, Castlebar, and Westport, Danceworld has gone from strength to strength, quickly establishing itself as a leader in the provision of entertainment and talent, with a proven track record of the highest standard representing the evolving trends of entertainment, fashion, music, styles of dance, and attitudes.

Some of the best rising stars of song and dance will be showcased at a variety show style evening in the TF Royal Theatre on April 30. Five nationally and internationally acclaimed local performing arts companies have joined forces to stage the concert to help raise funds for Ballina’s new arts centre and theatre. The evening will include Irish dance, hip hop, traditional music, songs from the musicals, and swing performed by members of the Sylvan Kelly School of Dance, Aine Egan’s Danceworld, The All Star Academy under the direction of Lavinia Gilmartin, Michael Slater, and Patrick Lacken, The Bofield Céílí Band, and Cheryl Nolan and the Lambe Academy. All of the groups are based in Ballina but draw artists and students from throughout Mayo and south Sligo.
