Danceworld is the west coast’s largest and most successful academy of dance and performance. Hosting more than 250 dancers with classes in Ballina, Castlebar, and Westport, Danceworld has gone from strength to strength, quickly establishing itself as a leader in the provision of entertainment and talent, with a proven track record of the highest standard representing the evolving trends of entertainment, fashion, music, styles of dance, and attitudes.
Having performed to sell out audiences in their home town in past years, Danceworld transformed the TF Royal Theatre in 2007 and 2009 with colourful vibrant and spectacular shows. Having achieved three All Ireland Readoiri Pioneer titles, six Connacht titles, two All Ireland Hip-Hop championship titles and four Irish Hip-Hop Masters titles in the space of 10 years, Danceworld not only provides a stage for performers but most importantly a stage of possibilities because teachers believe that dancing is not just a movement but a way of life.
Danceworld reached yet another level when the dancers packed out the Ballina Arts Centre four nights in a row last May with their production. Having achieved this, creator of Danceworld, choreographer Aine Egan, spent the summer availing of extensive training in the famous Broadway Dance Studios in New York City where she spent the summer with some of the world’s top choreographers.
Just back, Aine Egan is excited to bring the very best of her global inspirations to the west. For further information and to enrol in Danceworld telephone 087 203 5460.
