Rugby reunion (1981 to 1984)

During the years of 1981-1984 Westport RFC had its most successful period ever in underage rugby, winning four Connacht titles from u-15 to u-18. Now after a gap of 25 years a reunion of this group and associated mentors is to take place on Saturday April 11 in the Castlecourt Hotel at 8.30pm. Lismirrane arts

Upcoming courses at Lismirrane Arts Resource Project include a sculpture and pottery class with Sally McKenna to commence on Monday April 20 from 7pm until 9pm for eight weeks. The fee is €150 for the materials and duration of the course. There are also Easter workshops for children: painting classes will take place with Sally McKenna on Tuesday April 16 from 11am to 1pm. An animation workshop will take place on Wednesday April 17 from 11am to 1pm; a miniature puppet workshop will take place on Thursday April 18 from 11am to 1pm; and a weaving workshop will take place on Friday April 19 from 11am to 1pm. Mayo County Council bursary

Mayo County Council are offering two special bursary awards to artists born or living in Mayo, to enable them to spend two weeks at The Tyrone Guthrie Centre at Annaghmakerrig, County Monaghan. Each bursary covers all board and lodging expenses for a two-week period, plus the use of a studio if necessary.
