Four Mayo students awarded Intel scholarships

Four Mayo students have been awarded prestigious scholarships by Intel Ireland. Three of the students each received a Women in Technology scholarship and the fourth was a recipient of a Paul Whelan Memorial Scholarship.

The three Women in Technology Scholarship recipients from Mayo are: Swinford native, Saoirse Ward, who is studying Physics and Astrophysics at Maynooth University; Eimear McDonnell, from Westport, who is a student of Environmental Health and Safety at NUIG; and Emily Metadjer, from Shrule, who is currently studying Computer Science and Information Technology at NUIG.
