Mariko Sparkling Green Tea is Ireland’s first carbonated, 100 per cent natural green tea. It has zero sugar, fat, and calories. It has high levels of antioxidants and is brewed by Christine McAndrew from Belmullet, Mayo.

I’ve always loved running. I love looking down and seeing my feet have a race with each other to see which gets somewhere before the other. I love the swishness of being able to balance on two legs and move fast and not fall over. The best part of being a kid is that you can run anywhere, up town, down the street, to the shop. When I was a Mass server in Ballinrobe, I used to run the mile to the church and run back. I always ran to school. And ran faster coming home. Much faster.

The Drinks Industry Group of Ireland has launched the Support Your Local campaign for 2016, which seeks to highlight the significant economic contribution that the drinks and hospitality industry makes to communities across Ireland.
To coincide with the launch of Support Your Local 2016, new research by DCU economist Tony Foley has detailed hospitality sector employment in each Dail Constituency. His research has revealed that there are 373 pubs, 40 licensed hotels, 76 licensed restaurants, and 112 off-licences providing employment in Mayo.

Last week Sabrina Cunningham and Regina Kerrane, both living in Castlebar, graduated with the first wave of jewellery experts in Ireland. The Retail Jewellers of Ireland teamed up with the Company of Goldsmiths to present certificates to 11 graduates. These graduates become the first to have the knowledge and experience to work and sell jewellery in Ireland. Presenting the certificates in Dublin Castle was the assay master, Ana Izquierdo.
