Works approved for three north Mayo schools

Three schools in Ballina have been chosen to receive funding for emergency works.

Scoil Iosa, St Oliver Plunkett NS, and Geesala Central School have been granted funds under the Emergency Works Scheme.

Scoil Iosa on Convent Hill, Ballina, has been approved for works on special needs projects, while both St Oliver Plunkett NS, Quay Road, Ballina, and Geesala Central School, Geesala, Ballina, are to receive funding for mechanical works.

Minister for Rural & Community Development Michael Ring has welcomed confirmation from the Minister for Education and Skills Richard Bruton, that the three north Mayo schools have been granted funds under the Emergency Works Scheme.

“I look forward to the works in these schools being completed in the coming months and I’m sure that the teachers and students will benefit from the works being carried out,” said Minister Ring.
