Westport Hurling Club fundraising table quiz

Westport GAA Hurling Club will host a fundraising table quiz this evening, Friday, at the Cú Chulainn Bar on Altamount Street and everyone is invited to go along for a great night of trivia, music and entertainment. Funds raised on the night go directly to the promotion of the game of hurling in Westport and the improvement of facilities for all members at the GAA grounds. Teams of four, start time is 9.30pm, €10 per person.

Calvary Church open morning

Calvary Church Castlebar (9 Humbert Mall, Castlebar ) will host an open morning tomorrow, St Patrick's Day, from 11am with free refreshments and children's activities. All are welcome.

Balla St Patrick's Day parade

The Balla St Patrick's Day parade will take place at 12 noon on Saturday, March 17.

Castlebar Active Retirement

The Castlebar Active Retirement group meets on Wednesday afternoons from 2pm to 4pm in the Social Services Centre. The committee has arranged a number of events that will take place in the coming weeks, including 10-pin bowling, wellness talks, outings and excursions. New members are always welcome.

Women's Shed in Castlebar

The Women's Shed meets on Mondays, Wednesdays and Saturdays from 2pm to 4pm in Le Chéile Family Resource Centre, Tucker Street, Castlebar.

Bible study in Balla

A Bible study group meets on every Wednesday night at 8pm in Balla Community Centre.

Westport Arts Festival AGM

The AGM of Westport Arts Festival will take place on Thursday, March 22, in the Seán Staunton room in Westport Town Hall at 7.30pm.

Parent and toddler group and baby massage in Castlebar

The parent and toddler group meets each Monday at 10am and the baby massage classes take place at 10.30am on Tuesdays in Le Chéile Family Resource Centre, Tucker Street, Castlebar. Booking for baby massage is essential, by calling Yvonne on (087 ) 9593935.

Balla bingo

Bingo takes place every Monday night in Balla Resource Centre at 8.30pm. If you are not in you can’t win.

Ballyvary Blue Bombers coaching workshop

Ballyvary Blue Bombers Youths are holding a coaching workshop for anyone who has an interest in getting involved with underage coaching in the club at any age group. The workshop will be run by Paul Byrne, the FAI development officer for Mayo, and will take place on Friday, April 6 from 6.30pm until 8.30pm. Yogalates in Balla

Creative writers and photography classes

The creative writers group meets on Wednesdays from 11m to 1pm and the photography course continues on Wednesday evenings from 7.30pm to 9.30pm in Le Chéile Family Resource Centre, Tucker Street, Castlebar. For booking and more information on the photography course, contact John on (086 ) 6001628.

Foroige STEAM volunteers

Do you have an hour or two a month to spare? Foroige is calling out for new volunteers for Foroige services in Castlebar for its STEAM projects. The group is looking for adults who could give a few hours a month to work with young people aged 10 to 17 years. Any interest in music, technology, gadgets, art, photography, film making, and fun activities would be a bonus but not essential as all training will be provided.
