Young mothers' group in Ballinrobe

Young mothers, aged 24 years and under and living in the Ballinrobe area, are invited to get involved in a support group with others of a similar age. For further information text or phone Mary on (087 ) 2859973.

Church gate collection

The annual church gate collection in aid of the Mayo Roscommon Hospice palliative care service will be taken up in Robeen, Carras, and Roundford on Saturday, March 10, and Sunday March, 11.

Youth club volunteers needed

The Maple Youth Booth on Bowgate Street in Ballinrobe is setting up a youth club group for first and second year boys. It is looking for volunteers to supervise the club on Wednesdays from 4pm to 6pm. For more information contact Grace on (087 ) 7714967.

Electrical recycling event

A free electrical recycling event will take place tomorrow, March 10, in the Market Square, Claremorris, from 10am to 4pm. Anything with a plug or battery, be it large or small, can be recycled free of charge on the day.

Money Advice Bureau

If you are struggling with bills, payments, or debts, you do not need to be under stress. The Money Advice and Budgeting Service (MABS ) has an outreach service in the Tacú Centre in Ballinrobe. A member of MABS will meet you by appointment for an initial contact. To book your appointment call (1890 ) 283428.

Buggy friendly walking group

The Buggy Friendly Walking Group meets every Friday morning from 10.30am to 12 noon at the Maple Youth Centre on Bowgate Street in Ballinrobe.

Claremorris Drama and Fringe Festival

The Claremorris Drama and Fringe Festival is coming up very soon and season tickets are now available to purchase for the festival. The 10 night ticket costs €90 and nightly tickets are €15. Water Sports Club AGM

The annual general meeting of Ballinrobe Water Sports Club is scheduled to take place in Parish House, Ballinrobe, on Thursday, March 15, at 8pm.

Weekly 25 card game in Ballinrobe

A weekly 25 card game (partners ) takes place in Western Care's Crannmór Training Centre, Ballinrobe (behind the old Vocational School, Neale Road ), every Sunday evening, commencing at 7.30pm. Entry costs €10 per person, there will be cash prizes, and all proceeds are in aid of Western Care.

Ballinrobe boot X-Change

This week football boots of all sizes can be dropped into the Tacú Centre, Jennings Butchers, Treacy’s Chemist, and JJ Burke Car Sales. On Saturday, March 10, and Saturday, March 24, the Lakeside Centre will have football boots available between 9.30am and 11am. A donation of €5 per pair is required. This event is being organised by Ballinrobe Ladies Gaelic Football Club. For more information call (087 ) 2347438.
