As part of their e-Business Support Initiative, Fáilte Ireland is holding a Search Engine Optimisation (SEO ) Workshop in Hotel Westport on March 24 for local tourism businesses.
The workshop is designed to teach tourism businesses to tailor their online profile and help maximise their search engine ranking to increase sales. The workshop will provide practical tips and live website examples illustrating to attendees how they can use SEO to raise their online profile.
This workshop is one of a series of web skills workshops, being held nationwide, aimed at helping small to medium sized tourism enterprises maximise their online potential.
Speaking on the workshops, Stephen Dudley, SME Development e-Business Manager, said: “At a time when seven in 10 customers use the internet to plan and choose their holidays it is critically important for tourism enterprises in Mayo to have an effective online presence as a key part of its overall business strategy.”
Other topics being covered by the initiative include Google tools, online selling, web safety, web design and development, web content.
