Cór Mhaigh Eo presents an evening of choral music with Jumprava Choir (Latvia ) and eLVé (Dublin Latvian Choir ) in Holy Trinity Church, Westport, on Saturday March 21 at 8.30pm. Admission to the concert is €10 and children are free.
Jumprava choir hosted Cór Mhaigh Eo at the Latvian Song and Dance Festival last July in Riga where 12,000 people sang the same songs on the same stage, an incredible feat. The Dublin Latvian Choir, eLVé, sang in concert with Cór Mhaigh Eo last March in Kiltimagh. Saturday’s concert promises to be a treat for all lovers of music with a very varied programme. Cór Mhaigh Eo is a choir comprising 40 singers, male and female, from throughout Mayo. They meet every Thursday night for practice in Castlebar.
