Christy Moore is coming back to Castlebar next Friday night. The tickets for the show on March 27 have been selling well. Moore’s popularity in Mayo is unwaning and he and Declan Sinnott have a staunch following that keeps fans coming back for more.
The gig is timed to coincide with the upcoming release of his newest album Listen which will be hitting the shops on April 17 next. This latest offering from Christy will be his first studio outing since his 2005 album Burning Times. He has already released the first single from the album, ‘The Ballad of Ruby Walsh’ — a tribute to the Irish National Hunt champion jockey who is a neighbour of Christy’s in Kildare.
