Bank of Ireland’s 17th National Enterprise Week, themed ‘Scaling Your Business’, will take place from today, November 17, to next Friday, November 24, and will see up to 26 events take place across the country for SMEs with an interest in growing their business.
Each event has been carefully planned to support specific industry sectors with experts on hand to speak about everything from trends, forecasts and opportunities, to personal relevant business experience. The aim of the initiative is to promote and drive momentum for businesses in areas such as manufacturing, tourism and hospitality, agri, finance, fisheries and export markets.
These themed events taking place across the country will give SMEs the opportunity to hear from industry experts and network with like-minded businesses. In Mayo, Bank of Ireland will host an event on Tuesday, 21 November entitled “Manufacturing in a dynamic, challenging and changing marketplace” in Breaffy House Hotel in Castlebar from 9.45am to 1pm. Speakers will include Brian Evans, head of manufacturing, Bank of Ireland, Paul McHale from McHale Engineering, and Mary Daniels, export specialist from WebPort Global.
Speaking about National Enterprise Week, Alan Durcan, head of Bank of Ireland in Mayo, said: “Bank of Ireland’s National Enterprise Week programme aims to help small to medium sized businesses throughout the country grow their opportunities. Manufacturing is a very important industry in Mayo and this event on 21 November has been specifically designed to bring together experts who are experienced in supporting business growth and who can deliver valuable information and forecast trends to drive further development for this important sector. Businesses will also have the chance to connect with other like-minded entrepreneurs and showcase their products and services. I would encourage SMEs across the country to get involved in the many events taking place from 17 to 24 November”.
This event is free to attend, however due to demand it is recommended that people book in advance. For more information about Bank of Ireland’s National Enterprise Week and to reserve a space visit www.businessbanking.bankofireland.com/campaigns/enterprise-week
