Castlebar Childline volunteers needed

Childline, who have celebrated 21 years of service to children and young people in Ireland this week, are looking to recruit volunteers for their new Castlebar unit. Volunteers are essential to ensure children are not left without this vital service and your support is needed.

The ISPCC and Childline have launched a 24-hour campaign calling on the Government to establish a nationwide 24-hour child protection and welfare service in Ireland. The Childline service is celebrating listening to and supporting over 2.2 million children and young people across Ireland over 21 years. The service received over 650,000 calls in 2008, an increase of over 26,000 calls on the previous year.

If you feel you have the above qualities contact Childline on 094 902 5254 or for further information log onto www.ispcc.ie
