Set dancing weekend in aid of Mayo Cancer Support

The hugely popular annual Diamond Set Dancing Weekend in aid of Mayo Cancer Support, Rock Rose House is organised annually by Oliver Fleming who plans a weekend full of ceilis, sean nos workshops, jiving and country and western music each night.

The event which runs from Friday, November 3 to Sunday, November 5 starts on Friday night with a jiving workshop followed by a ceili. Saturday’s schedule begins with workshops in sean nos and jiving followed by a Mass at 3pm, a social evening with Pat's Country Roadshow, and a ceili to finish. Sunday will begin with a two-hand workshop followed by a ceili and a country and western evening to finish up the weekend.

All money raised from the three-day event goes directly to Mayo Cancer Support which provides support free of charge to people affected by cancer and their families in the Main Cancer Support Centre, Rock Rose House, which is located in Castlebar and also in its outreach service in Ballina.
