The rescheduled Breaffy GAA Monster Auction will take place this coming Saturday in Breaffy GAA Clubhouse. The auction was due to take place on Saturday, May 27 but was postponed as a mark of respect after a tragic death in the club. The auction gets underway this Saturday at 6.30pm and the hundreds of items up for auction has a worth in excess of €30,000.
There are a host of top-class items up for grabs. Among the premier prizes is a concert package worth €450 which includes two tickets to see Neil Diamond from the 1878 Premium Level/Hospitality section of the 3 Arena with one night’s bed and breakfast at the luxurious Clontarf Castle.
There are coaching sessions available with the club’s county stars - the three O’Shea brothers and Rob Hennelly - up for grabs, an ideal present for a young Mayo fan. There are also rounds of golf available where people can bid to be part of a four-ball with Aidan O’Shea and golf pro Aidan Moran or with Footballer of the Year Lee Keegan and Rob Hennelly.
Both RTÉ and Sky Sports have each kindly provided a behind the scenes package at a big Mayo match for fans to see how a live TV production comes together. Those prizes also include match tickets and a meet and greet with Mayo players afterwards.
Indeed the RTÉ package is for this Sunday’s Mayo v Galway game in Salthill and bids will be taken on the Tommy Marren Show on Mid West Radio this week so stayed tuned! There’s a host of gift vouchers from businesses in the wider Castlebar area and the club are confident there’s something for everyone.
A full list of the items up for grabs is available on www.breaffygaa.ie/auction and is being updated daily as new items come on stream. Those gathered on the night of what will be a fun-filled and entertaining auction will all be able to enter a raffle where a number of substantial prizes will be up for grabs so even if you don’t bid successfully for an item, you could still walk away with something memorable. Well-known Castlebar auctioneer Tommy Collins will preside over the auction.
The auction will get underway at 6.30pm. If you cannot make it but are interested in bidding, there will also be an option to phone in bids. For more information, see breaffygaa.ie/auction, follow Breaffy GAA on Facebook and Twitter, email [email protected] or contact 087 2585216.
